Abstract
This research is motivated by the importance of learning Hiwar in improving Arabic speaking ability. Arabic Speaking Ability can be improved by Mumarosah or Habituation. To support habituation, it must be assisted with teaching materials that are in accordance with daily habits. Therefore, the researchers made Hiwar's teaching materials with a contextual approach. This study aims to (1) determine the process of developing Hiwar Teaching Materials with a Contextual approach. (2) To determine the effectiveness of teaching materials with a Contextual approach.
This research uses the type of R&D method, with the Brog and Gall development model. In the Brog and Gall development model, there are 10 development steps. In this study, we use the ten steps contained in the Brog and Gall development model. We collected data by observation, interviews, analysis of Arabic teaching materials and tests (one group Pre-Test and Post-test). The test was carried out orally, with the research subject being Semester 3 Students of the Arabic Language Education Study Program at the KH. Islamic Boarding School. Abdul Chalim.
The results of the analysis of dialogue teaching materials that it is known that there are no dialogue teaching materials using a contextual approach. The results of content validation with research include aspects of Instructions for use, vocabulary, assessment instructions, teaching materials, exercises and grammatical structures of language, which is 78% so that it is included in the Very Eligible category. The results of the product t-test are t-count 8.882 > t-table 1.703. So that the products made have effectiveness and efficiency in improving Arabic speaking skills with a confidence level of 11% through posttest results which are higher than pretest. Based on the results of the research, dialogue teaching materials with a Contextual approach are intended for third semester students as a proper reference and can improve students' Arabic speaking skills. So that dialogue teaching materials can be used as a reference for learning Arabic to improve speaking Arabic skills .The findings in this study indicate that Hiwar's teaching materials with a contextual approach are relevant in learning Arabic in improving Arabic speaking skills.
