Abstract

Academic supervision is needed as supervision aimed at improving conditions
in an effort to improve the quality of educators through efforts to motivate, guide,
develop and direct individuals related to academic activities in order to improve
teacher work performance and productivity. Understanding the curriculum is very
important for teachers as a support in implementing teaching and learning in the
classroom.
The objectives of this research are, 1) Analyzing the influence of academic
supervision (X1) on teacher performance (Y) at Darut Taqwa Purwosari Vocational
School. 2) Analyze the influence of curriculum understanding (X2) on teacher
performance (Y) at Darut Taqwa Purwosari Vocational School. 3) Simultaneously
analyze academic supervision (X1) and curriculum understanding (X2) on teacher
performance (Y) at Darut Taqwa Purwosari Vocational School.
Meanwhile, the type of research used in this research is associative research with
a research approach in the form of a quantitative research approach that focuses on
teacher performance at Darut Taqwa Purwosari Vocational School.
The results of this research are, First, the tcount obtained is -9.329 which is
smaller than the ttable which is 2.025 with a significance of 0.000 which is smaller
than the significance level which is 0.05. It was concluded that H1 was accepted
and H0 was rejected, the academic supervision variable partially had a negative and
significant effect on teacher performance. Second, the obtained tcount is 2.778
which is greater than ttable which is 2.025 with a significance of 0.007 which is
smaller than the significance level which is 0.05. It was concluded that H2 was
accepted and H0 was rejected, the curriculum understanding variable partially had
a positive and significant effect on teacher performance. Third, obtained Fcount of
43.556. This means that Fcount (43.556) is greater than Ftable (3.109) and the
significance value is 0.000 which is smaller than the significance level of 0.05. It
was concluded that H3 was accepted and H0 wasrejected, the variables of academic
supervision and curriculum understanding simultaneously had a positive and
significant effect on the performance of teachers at Darut Taqwa Vocational School,
Purwosari, Pasuruan Regency.
