Abstract
Poverty can be minimized with an even distribution of wealth. Optimizing the Utilization of Zakat is considered to be able to offer solutions that can improve people's welfare. Zakat is a major factor in the distribution of property of Muslims, moreover 87% of Indonesian people are Muslims.Sustainable Development Goals
(SDGs) is a sustainable development agenda that has been approved by 193 countries from members of the United Nations (UN) and is committed to achieving it. BAZNAS Mojokerto Regency has the Mojokerto Makmur program which provides business capital assistance to people in need. The relationship between Zakat and the SDGs can be seen from one of its goals, namely alleviating poverty and eliminating hunger. This study aims to determine the implementation of zakat, especially the Mojokerto Makmur program and the SDGs and to examine the Optimization of Zakat Utilization for the Achievement of SDGs in the Mojokerto Makmur Program.
This study uses a qualitative approach with a type of field research (Field Research) the process of collecting data directly from informants related to the Mojokerto Makmur Program. The informants in this study were several BAZNAS administrators and Mustahiq beneficiaries of the Mojokerto Makmur Program. Data collection techniques by means of interviews, observation and documentation. Test the validity of the data with the data source triangulation method, and data analysis techniques using descriptive analysis.
The results of this study are that the Mojokerto Makmur Program is related to and supports the achievement of goalsSustainable Development Goals (SDGs), BAZNAS of Mojokerto Regency through the Mojokerto Makmur Program helps efforts to alleviate poverty and eliminate hunger for 392 mustahiq. To support optimization of utilization through the Mojokerto Makmur Program, BAZNAS Mojokerto Regency formed a Civil Family Group (KKM) for mustahiq and collaborated with BAZNAS volunteers to monitor the use of the capital assistance provided, so that the business undertaken by mustahiq is able to develop and be sustainable.
