Abstract

Global awareness of environmental issues is prompting countries, including
Indonesia, to align economic growth with environmental aspects and justice. One
strategy that can be applied to achieve sustainable development is through the
concept of green economy. Islam views humans as khalifah (stewards) who have an
important role in managing natural resources. Kembangbelor Village, as one of the
villages that has a geographical bonus in the form of highlands and forest areas to
be developed as a tourist area, which includes Wanawisata Bernah De Vallei and
Klurak Eco Park. Thus, the research questions in this study are, first; how is the
concept of green economy applied in realizing sustainable development in tourism
in Kembangbelor Village? Second; how is the application of green economy from
the perspective of fiqh al-bi'ah (Islamic environmental jurisprudence)?
The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study
approach. Data collection was carried out through field observations, in-depth
interviews with tourism managers, community leaders, and tourists, as well as
analysis of related documents.
The results of this study show that the two tourism objects, Wanawisata
Bernah De Vallei and Klurak Eco Park in Kembangbelor Village, apply the concept
of green economy. This application covers three main pillars: low carbon through
sustainable waste management, resource efficient through nature-conscious
tourism development, and social inclusive by improving community welfare through
share ownership and new job opportunities. By implementing the green economy
concept, it is proven through the achievement of sustainable development after the
existence of these two tourist attractions, supporting the achievement of sustainable
development in the village. Meanwhile, green economy and fiqh al-bi'ah have
harmony in maintaining a balance between human welfare and nature
conservation. Both concepts emphasize holistic development that is in line with
Islamic values, potentially creating a development model that is economically,
ecologically, and spiritually sustainable.
