Abstract

This research aims to determine the comparison of good corporate governance and financial risk in conventional banks and Islamic banks for the quarterly period 2015-2022. This research uses a quantitative approach with comparative methods using secondary data in the form of quarterly and annual financial reports. The samples in this research based on the criteria are Bank Central Asia and Bank Muamalat Indonesia. This research uses Self Assessment indicators and financial ratios Non Performing Loan/Financing (NPL/NPF), Loan/Financing to Deposit Ratio (LDR/FDR), Operating Costs Operating Income (BOPO) and Net Interest/Operating Margin (NIM/NOM) to describe good corporate governance, credit risk, liquidity risk, operational risk and market risk. The data analysis techniques used were the normality test, the Independent T-test and the Mann-Whitney test. The research results show that there are significant differences in good corporate governance, credit risk, liquidity risk, operational risk and market risk in conventional banks and Islamic banks.
