Abstract

Belief in the last day is the core of Islamic teachings. Belief in the Last Day is only part of what it means to believe in the Last Day. More than that, it also concerns matters that exist at the beginning of death or when the destruction of the universe comes and on the day when all human responsibilities will fall. For example, yaumul barzakh, yaumul ba'as\, yaumul mah}syar, yaumul h{isab, yaumul mizan, and yaumul jaza'. In summary, the sequence of events on the last day begins with yaumul barzakh, where death is the initial door for humans after living life in this world, the evil and evil angels come to them, until the arrival of the doomsday. Yaumul Ba'as, the day when all humans will be resurrected in various forms according to their deeds in the world. Yaumul mah}syar, the day when all humans are gathered in one place to receive the book of deeds, the judgment of Allah SWT. to all mankind, witnesses of the prophets and intercession of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. Yaumul h{isab, the day of reckoning for human deeds (prayers) as a whole, the members of the body are witnesses of deeds while in the world. Yaumul Mizan, the day when humans will receive the scales of all deeds from the largest to the smallest. Yaumul Jaza', the day when humans will receive the reward for all their good deeds. Belief in the doomsday is a form of belief in the supernatural. That is something that no one knows or is informed about, except for only a few that are described by Allah SWT.
