Abstract

The background of this research as Multicultural-Based Education Management which is a concern of the 2004 National Regulation on the National Education System, this article explains education is carried out democratically, not discriminatory by upholding human rights, culture and national diversity. The management applied by SMP Negeri 2 Sooko Ponorogo is a multicultural-based education management best on students from different religious and social backgrounds. Because of it, SMPN 2 Sooko Ponorogo have used a multicultural-based learning system to accommodate all the need of it, such as a general learning curriculum, character building for students in the classroom and school environment, behavior of children and other school policies, which of course affect the aut put in students produced by this school to instill nationalism and differences of view and mutual respect.
In this research focuses on, First, multicultural-based education planning, Second, the implementation of multicultural-based education and Third, evaluation of multicultural-based education management at SMP Negeri 2 Sooko Ponorogo.
The objectives of this research a described in: First, multicultural-based education planning, Second, the implementation of multicultural-based education and Third, evaluation of multicultural-based education management in SMP Negeri 2 Sooko Ponorogo.
The method of this research is observation, interviews, and documentation. While the research methods taken are, data deduction, data presentation, data verification and which is done by triggering data sources.
All of the results of this study are. The planning used by SMPN 2 Sooko Ponorogo learning plans that are listed in the education calendar, learning methods and the integration of two curricula, socialization, and performance, learning process, disciplinary and operational standard. Implementation that is implemented is, the planting of character values in students in the classroom and in the school environment.
