Abstract

Morals of young generations in this nation are declining, as evidenced by the news in the media about criminal acts that illustrate the low level of morals. The current low level of morality is due to being influenced by foreign cultures, where many young people make the wrong use of technology. The development of science and technology in the current era of globalization is growing very rapidly, but in fact these developments are not accompanied by the field of morality. Reflecting on all that, humans facing such a big conflict in the field of morality. To overcome those problems, moral education needs to be applied from an early age. Moral education can also be done by teaching morals to children through various reading media such as islamic books, books, and other media. Reading media that are often used as learning media are novels. Interest in reading literature, especially novels, has increased significantly since the covid pandemic. So that the novel becomes one of the right media to be applied in learning the field of morality. This study focuses more on moral values ​​and the concept of moral education in the Dua Barista novel by Najhaty Sharma.
This study aims to analyze the moral values ​​and concepts of moral education contained in the novel Dua Barista by Najhaty Sharma. To answer this goal, the researcher uses a type of library research research with a qualitative approach. As for analyzing the data, the researcher went through three stages, namely: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.
The results showed that, 1) Moral Values ​​in Najhaty Sharma's Dua Barista Novel there were 15 (fifteen) values, namely: a) Gratitude, b) Birrul walidain, c) Endeavor, d) Patience, e) Apologizing and forgiving, f) Respect (ta'dzim), g) Courtesy, h) Compassion, i) Humble, j) keeping self-purity, k) Wise, l) Ta'awun, m) Fair, n) Tawakal, o ) Sincere, and 2) Moral Education Concepts in Najhaty Sharma's Dua Barista Novel, namely a) Morals to Teachers, b) Morals to Allah, c) Morals to Family.
